AAHS Boys Lacrosse Teams
Again in 2012 Air Academy High School plans to field 3 boy's
lacrosse teams during the spring at the varsity, junior varsity and C levels.
The purpose of varsity is to field the most competitive team
that can compete and win games at the highest level of lacrosse in the state of
Colorado. Playing time will be decided by the coaches and based on who is the
best during practices and who puts the team in the best position to win that
particular game; while adhering to the academic requirements of Air Academy
High School and the player contract signed at the beginning of the season.
Playing time is not guaranteed. Cuts will be made at this level. Any senior
that does not make varsity will not play on jv or C squads.
The purpose of jv is to develop players into varsity caliber
players by fielding the most competitive team that can compete and win games at
the highest jv level in the state of Colorado. JV is not a developmental team
and playing time will be based on who is the best during practices and who puts
the team in the best position to win that particular game; while adhering to
the academic requirement set forth by Air Academy High School and the player
contract signed at the beginning of the season. Playing time is not guaranteed.
Cuts will be made at this level.
The purpose of the level3/c squad team is to develop freshman players and/or younger players who
have limited experience with the game of lacrosse while maintaining a
competitive edge. It is encouraged that players have at least one year of
playing experience at the youth level or club level. However, decisions will
not be made based on prior experience alone. Cuts may be made at this level and
playing time is more equitable than at the jv and varsity levels.
